We are from the Shakya family who belong to Rudravarna Mahavihar and Mahabuddha temple. Rudravarna Mahavihar is older than 1400 years and Mahabuddha temple is about 500 years old. This temple was built by our elder generation named Pandit Abhaya Raj Shakya. This temple was modeled on the Mahabodhi Temple at Bodh Gaya, India and it is often called “the temple of a thousand Buddhas” because the Buddha image is engraved on every brick. It is also popular as 9000 buddhas and second Bodhgaya in the world.
